St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley, Massachusetts
This historic wood framed church had gone through several earlier renovations which had drastically altered its appearance, including the addition some years earlier of aluminum siding. DeIulis Brothers succeeded in restoring the church to its original brilliance, notably the following phases which were carried out our own skilled carpenters
- Numerous interior and exterior architectural details which were painstakingly restored
- Extensive shoring of the original structure was required to allow for the removal of an entire exterior side wall of the building extending up to the roof line and to install the new and very complex framing system that would join the addition to the existing church while also providing the necessary structural support
- DeIulis Brothers, with the help of The Anthony Galluzzo Corp., skillfully replicated the decorative arched trusses from the church in the addition
