South Harbor Parking Garage, Salem, Massachusetts
DeIulis Brothers used its own crews to complete the complex and extensive concrete work required for this project. Highlights included:
- Very restricted site with no mobilization or storage areas (the structure occupied 100% of the available site) located in a congested business district and at the corner of a major downtown intersection
- High water table necessitated significant dewatering for concrete placement
- Project completed five months ahead of schedule despite 10 week work suspension at the owner’s convenience
- DeIulis Brothers used its own crews to complete the extensive masonry work, including detailed brick, granite and pre-cast veneer partially supported by steel lintels bolted to the concrete back-up wall
- Limited site necessitated numerous crane mobilizations and staging operations to complete the concrete and masonry work
