Regina Cleri Renovations Boston, Massachusetts

DeIulis Brothers provided preconstruction budgeting, coordination and value engineering leading to a negotiated construction contract. The existing chapel was renovated and a new exterior handicap egress ramp was constructed. The mezzanine level housing the convent was renovated and became part of a new assisted living wing, together with six suites on the second floor that were converted into 12 single living units with separate baths to increase occupancy. On the third through sixth floors, chapels were converted into one bedroom units. Bathrooms in eight other units were renovated along with all of the public bathrooms. Major MEP upgrades were completed throughout the building to address code compliance, and significant exterior masonry repairs to the façade and balconies were also completed. Lastly, new landscaping, walks and patio enhanced the exterior spaces. The building remained fully occupied and operational during construction with all work carefully coordinated with the residents, staff and administrators.
