DeIulis Brothers received a 1995 Merit Award from the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts for this project, which was notable for the following:
Extremely restricted site, only 26,000 square feet, located on a heavily traveled roadway, having limited access and mobility, directly abutting on either side the parish school and an apartment complex
All masonry bearing construction with all granite exterior and limeston surrounds- the extensive and complex masonry work was self-performed by DeIulis Brothers and required great skill in hand selecting (and in many instances, hand-drilling and splitting larger stones) the appropriate stone for the exterior, both for size, texture, and color range (more than 350 tons in all)
DeIulis Brothers achieved cost savings totaling nearly 10% of the project budget, including locating an acceptable alternate source for the granite (a sole source had been specified by the architect)
