DeIulis Brothers was one of three select invited bidders on this time sensitive high technology security project for the Massachusetts Port Authority in wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. DeIulis Brothers submitted the low bid and was awarded the project that was notable for the following:
Excavation, placement of footings and related work to receive 12 feet high pre-engineered concrete blast walls – DeIulis Brothers oversaw the complex erection requiring detailed placement of 8 foot wall sections
Preparation and installation of fully integrated security system made up of vehicle intrusion devices, automatic gates and security shelter
Project included airside work that required vehicle escorts and security badging for all workers
High tech security features included fiber optic cabling, security cameras and monitors
Specialized electrical work, including high and low voltage work
City of Boston EMS facility integrated into the project
