Project Summary: 18,000 square feet of interior and exterior renovations transforming downtown manufacturing/warehouse building into courtroom and office space for the new Lynn Juvenile Court
Contract Value: $1.6M
Completion: October, 1999
Owner: Jack Arnold Realty Trust
Architect: SBA/Steffian Bradley Associates
DeIulis Brothers was approached to provide a construction cost estimate as part of a bid to host the new juvenile court for downtown Lynn. DeIulis Brothers was given only limited scope schematic drawings and minimal specifications to work with. Although the building owner was not successful initially, over the next 18 months one by one the bidders that were selected either withdrew or could not meet the physical requirements for hosting the court. Over the next six months DeIulis Brothers provided additional cost estimates as the design was developed, modified, and finally completed after multiple reviews by several state agencies. Despite the two year lapse in time from original budget to final estimate, there was less than a 5% variance between the two.
DeIulis Brothers completed an additional 3,600 feet of expansion space for the Juvenile Court in December, 2001, at a cost of $300K
