DeIulis Brothers provided pre-construction budgeting and scheduling for this project, which led to a negotiated construction contract. Built on the campus of Salem Hospital, this project is notable for the following:

  • First of its kind facility on the North Shore to offer cardiac surgery, equipped with state of the art operating rooms and post operative care rooms
  • Extensive finishes, including custom casework and cabinetry - DeIulis Brothers used its own crews to perform all the finish carpentry
  • Constructed on a highly restrictive site over the Hospital’s primary receiving area, which was kept fully operational during construction
  • Constructed on piles and structural concrete columns, some rising as high as 30 feet from the base of a sloped embankment – DeIulis Brothers’ own crews completed the extensive and complicated concrete work
  • Project connected to existing Davenport Building at the 4th and 5th levels requiring precise coordination and construction
  • Features included a rooftop garden and sitting area.
